Defiance Clients Highlighted
Defiance residents Helen
and Robert Zimmerman were chosen as the Clients of the Month by the Defiance branch. When asked about their experience
with AmeriCare, the Zimmermans said, " We are happy with all of the nurses and home health aides that come out to our home.
We love that therapists come to serve us as well. Whenever we call, a nurse is always immediately there to help. We tell everyone
that we meet about our experience with AmeriCare and let them know how great they are".

Little Cody Johnson is the agency’s youngest
client and as all his nurses will swear- “the cutest” as well! Pictured on the right with proud mom Angela, Cody
is less than a month old. Angela and her husband, Elmer, had always wanted children but after four years of marriage they
were still unsuccessful. Then came Cody. It was a little scary at first, recall his parents. Angela’s pregnancy was
high-risk and Cody had complications at birth. Cody and Angela are both doing well now. Cody is gaining weight and appears
to be a content, healthy newborn.
On the
opposite end of the age spectrum but equally beautiful is AmeriCare client– Ione Johnson. Besides sharing a common last
name, the only relationship they share is that, like Cody, Ione is pretty cute, too. Ione is 95 years old.

Pictured on the left with AmeriCare nurse, Jodi Lawson,
Ione is a lifelong Williams county resident. She is a big country music fan. Her favorite is Little Jimmy Dickens, and she
knows every word to all of his songs!
" She is precious", says Ione of her nurse, Jodi. She adds, "...gives good hugs, too!". Once a nurse aide herself, Ione
has spent most of her life helping others. She was at a nursing home for a while, but with a little help is now able to stay
in her own home.
AmeriCare of Findlay
Ribbon- Cutting and Open House
AmeriCare Home Health of Findlay has scheduled a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open- house for Tuesday, May 13th. The ribbon-cutting
is scheduled at 10:00 am. A barbeque lunch will be served from 11:00 am to 02:00 pm. The public is invited.
Excellent Outcomes on State Inspection
AmeriCare Home Health was surveyed in 01/08 by Ohio
Department of Health. The services provided by AmeriCare was complemented by excellent survey results. AmeriCare had a near-
perfect survey with 1 standards deficiency. We congratulate all staff for doing an excellent job on a daily basis!
